Call of Duty 4 not opening on MacBook Pro

Hi all,

I recently just got a MacBook Pro 15"
Running 10.6.8

I went to open CoD4 from a previous systems folder on my external HD but the Call of Duty icon is greyed out with a cross and when I click it an error message pops up saying, "You can’t open the application “Call of Duty 4” because it’s not supported on this type of Mac."

For what reason? It was working just fine on my regular MacBook running 10.6.8. What is going wrong? Do I have to downgrade something?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
