Do I have to have a Mouse to play call of duty 4 ?? Or is using the track pad to play Call of Duty 4, just as good?

:)

Using a trackpad for FPS's is never as good as using a mouse. But then again, my cousin loves it. So it is whatever floats your boat.

I personally use a gaming mouse. I have this: http://store.razerzone.com/store/ra...parentCategoryID.35208800/categoryId.35210600

I highly recommend getting a gaming mouse if you play a lot, or are competitive. Installing it on a mac is tedious. It's an easy process, just not as many features as on PC. So I play COD4 on my bootcamp side with XP running. I find XP better for games, they made Windows 7 too interfac(y). lol. But track pad is very difficult unless you have high precision. I've tried it and hate it. Plus I just my Razr mouse as a standard mouse anyway. Use the 2 buttons on top to control sensitivity. Up and down. In game I make it higher and out of the game I lower it. Really simple. And I love it.

Yeah, most couch cushions are specifically designed to assist in the sensitivity of laser optical mice without compromising the ability to have a decorative pattern on the couch. If I'm not mistaken, I believe Razer also makes couch pads for their line of mice, if you happen to have a couch made prior to 1998.

In all seriousness, a relatively smooth couch aught to work for most optical mice. With my bluetooth mouse, I'll either use the couch cushion or the small area next to my trackpad for less mouse-intensive games/activities.

Well of course its still not as good as a desk with a mousepad, but, it's certainly better than using a trackpad.

I own the game and play on a Macbook Pro 13". There is no difference in hardware performance, however mice are often a lot easier to coordinate the UI with, and the trackpad is hard to use in most gaming circumstances. I would recommend an external mouse, cause trackpad gaming will get you killed online.

I have a hard mouse pad. It's designed for the Magic Mouse, but I find that it works like crap, and ironically is best with my Razr. I bring that with me on the couch. I've actually played on my bed. I'll sit there legs in front mac on my legs, and then the mouse pad which is plastic hard (im at work and I cant remember the name. may add it later) is on the bed itself like 5 inches lower. I find this set up is great.

Gee, I don't know what to do. If I sit on the couch and use a mouse, it's a little arkward.....and if I take my laptop over to the desk, I can't see the TV from there. :(

I would say move your tv, or your desk. Or you can get a small table from Ikea. What's the tv have to do with your desk? Are you playing on the tv as an external monitor? Then that's kind of weird unless you have a wireless mouse and those aren't any good for gaming, too much lag especially for FPS. Must be really close to the tv, and that's not good for your eyes unless its like a 20 inch tv or something.

I sit on the couch and watch the TV while I use my computer.
