is there any program thatll let our mac display incoming calls if we plug in a fone line to our modem port so it acts like a little caller id thingy displaying the fone number and name of the incoming call?

search for a program called NCIDpop - i think i may have found it on versiontracker, i really can't remember.

That sounds cool. Has anyone got the Address Book + Bluetooth names and numbers to appear on the screen like when it was first demo'd?

I tried for ages to get this working with my 7650 (which is supposed to be supported) and it doesnt seem to work with the address book at all..

Off the modem port? Does the modem port have caller ID in it? That sounds like a great idea.

If it doesn't, there are caller ID gizmos with serial ports on them. But then you'd need a serial adapter.

Let us know what you find out!

what would be nice is to have caller id support that would also be able to do things such as say the name of the person calling. or so a preconfigued picture for different callers or something.
that would be fun.

I searched version tracke by simply typing in "caller ID" and found a program called CIDTrackerX. I haven't used it yet but I'm gonna try it out sometime this week, once I get a splitter and an extra phone cable.
