Calling all iPhone 3GS jailbreak experts HELP!

Hey guys,

My friend had a jailbroken/ unlocked phone which he bought from someone else and accidentally updated it. Now it shows the SIM CARD not supported on itunes AND it won't let him access the general menu because it shows the connect to itunes symbol thingy.

Help please?



(Unlocked from ATT, he dosen't have an ATT card around)

Well if he is using a non-ATT sim card, and he just updated he is out of luck for having his phone unlocked for the time being. Because the new baseband update disabled any previous unlocks.

Any idea how he can atleast get to the home screen to use it like an iPod touch till then?

Accidentally updated it or unknowingly updated it.

Using a activated AT&T sim card and connecting it to iTunes I believe is the only way.
