Hi All

I'm now on my second machine, and having serious issues with the system.

Got my first Mac Pro Late 2013 in the beginning of February, bought through a reseller. By the end of February they marked it DOA, and i was back in the waiting line for 6 weeks.

Last week I received number 2, and this one has the exact same issues.

The system is: 12core - 32gb ram - 1TB - d700.
Connected with 2 Thunderbolt Displays, each on separate TB busses. Apple wired USB keyboard, and a third party mouse - Both connected to one of the displays.

1. When the system boots, one of the displays is showing a graphical glitch on the top left corner. Doesn't matter which TB port they are connected to.
Tried the 10.9.3 beta, and that seems to make the issue disappear.

2. When the system boots, it can't detect the Apple Wired USB keyboard (connected to one of the displays). And then I have to unplug and replug the usb cable 10-20 times. I tried an old Asus wired keyboard, and that works fine. Pretty annoying issue, as I wan't the usb cable connected to the display.

3. Here comes the main issue. When ever the system is sleeping, it reboots (with power chime) with "Sleep Wake Failure" log pop up box. It can be anywhere from 15 minutes, to 10 hours.
I have tried SMC reset, NVram, erase and install and so on.
All updates installed, nothing else installed, except Mavericks.
Wifi and Bluetooth is turned off, nothing else connected than an ethernet cable.
On one of the erase and installs, when setting up the account, I tried not to input my iCloud ID. Much to my surprise there is no "Sleep Wake Failures" and the machine sleeps fine.
After entering my iCloud account, the reboot problems returned. Tried logging out of the iCloud account, but the problem still persist.

I'm working with Apple Support at Level 2, and they are speaking with Engineering. But they are not able to open my AACD files, and have now gone quiet for 3 days.
I'm SO frustrated, and especially since this is the SECOND machine, with the exact same issues.

I'm thinking, if this was a Mavericks issue - EVERYONE would be seeing the reboots?
But apparently it's only my two machines… wtf ??

So is anyone here - Who is using an iCloud account - Having similar issues?

Please help...

I see some of this

I have a new Mac Pro and I see some of what you are seeing, although not as severe. I am not using thunderbolt displays. I have two Dell monitors connected. One through HDMI and the other through a displayport to DVI adapter.

Sometimes when I power on the Mac Pro I'll get some of the graphics corruption you're seeing. Usually when this happens the system freezes and I have to power it off and on.

About once a week I get a notice about a sleep wake failure and the system has rebooted.

I'm wondering if the sleep wake failure is related to one of the USB devices or perhaps it is related somehow to VMWare, which I usually have running.

Thanks for chiming in.

The update is, that Apple replaced machine number 2, and the third one is doing the same.

However, I have 2 27" Apple Thunderbolt displays, and it doesn't seem to do the sleep wake failure, when only the newest display is connected. So my guess is, that it has something to do with the older thunderbolt display.

Will have 2 get back to Apple Care again now… Sigh...

I am having this issue as well on a nMP [had it 2 weeks] and a TBD which I have had one year. I do not have the problem if I disconnect my external hd connected via USB. I hope Apple addresses this issue soon

Sounds like software rather than hardware. I hope so: I just saw one Sleep Wake Failure restart on my week-old Mac Pro (single Dell DisplayPort monitor, no other peripherals, no other symptoms).
