macOS calling all mac programmers!

I need help. Theres a mac program called reaper that is for music recording. last year a patch was released for the windows version that basically allows people who own a roland vs-1880 recording station to rip their backup cds onto PC and be able to edit their recordings.

To date a mac version of the patch has still not been released.
There is a group called vs planet that is dedicated to the roland studios, and a user named 'bear' who helped develop the windows version, but has no knowledge of mac programming.

If any programmers on this forum would like to team up with bear and create a mac version, there will be roland owners worldwide that will love you for it.

please respond by post or email if you'd like to take a stab at it, and I could hook you up with bear to find out the details.

Huh. I don't think it would be that hard (for someone else that is, I'm not great at programming), so all the program does is rip raw data off a disc? Can't you already do that? Anyways, it doesn't need to be anything special; just a command-line unix program would do.

This should be doable given the windows source code, but not having this roland thingy is quite a deterent from actually seeing the benefits of doing (somewhat) difficult job without pay... ... I would advice to just use the windows version in bootcamp or equivalent

Actually you don't need the roland machine, it backs up the audio to a cdr in a special roland format, not readable by any ripping program. Thats why the windows programmer developed the batch file to decipher the formatting.

Anyone who is willing to give this a try, I will gladly mail you a cdr backup from the machine to test it out.
