Hi guys,

I was just wondering if anyone knows if there is an app being created for easy use of calling cards.

On my old sony ericsson I could set the phone up to ask before every call if I would like to use the calling card or not to make the call. This allowed for cheap calls through my calling card without dialing any access numbers.

Hope to hear from you soon.

They do use minutes... but I have 1200 minutes on local calls... So I can use those minutes and pay like 1 - 4p a minute on the calling card and call where ever I need to.... It works quite well for me...

I don't see why not, you'd just make an App and instead of tapping the phone icon you'd tap the calling card app and it could then pass the number through to your phone.

But i don't know of such an app, but it shouldn't be hard to make.

That is something on the lines of what I was thinking as well...

Is there anyone here who has access to develop this up or point me in the direction of people to contact....

Thanks for your help....

It could be a website. If you know basic HTML and a little Java. Maybe I'll take a look at what I can do.

If you pass a link tel://912034703924 to the phone it calls right?

So you can just have two inputs, one for the card number and one for the phone and it'd save. So in theory, you'd just swap text input for a keypad like interface and save the card number. Probably easier to do that part with a native app (You could even then count the minutes and track the time left), but I don't know much C (read: none).
