Calling Plan Quesitons

The one thing I have noticed since becoming a new AT&T customer is there is a lack of good information on the calling plans and what they include. I have called customer service and gotton different answers to the same questions. I'm thinking someone here might be able to answer these:

Is it true we get free mobile to mobile mins with the iPhone plan?
Is it true we get free mobile to mobile SMS messages with the iPhone plan?
How much extra, if any, for international SMS messages?

Mobile to mobile voice minutes: YES. See AT&T's website for iPhone plans and this is very clearly shown.

Mobile to mobile text messages: NO. But you can add a plan that includes mobile to mobile texts for $5, $15 less than fully unlimited texts ($20).

Note: mobile to mobile is only to other AT&T/Cingular customers...

International text messages are $0.20/each to send, and $0.15/each to receive. There is also a plan for $9.99/month that includes 100 international texts, after which they are the regular rate.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like AT&T is way more on the international text charges then T-Mobile. I was paying 5 cents to send and nothing to recieve... i will have to tell my friends in europe to stop texting me! <G>

They could always email you, and you could send an email to theirmobilenmbr@theirprovidersSMSgateway.co.uk or whatever to get it back to them in SMS format. That way it wouldn't cost you anything, and as long as they have SMS->email capabilities and their provider has an email->SMS gateway (practically guaranteed), it wouldn't cost them any differently.
