I get a lot of spam calls. I don't know what it's like elsewhere but in Australia it seems to be pretty common. So I have Silence Unknown Callers on by default and anyone who doesn't leave a Voice Mail, I block.

But just now I got a silenced call and went to block the number and my camera briefly activated, made a click sound, and then turned off. I didn't even access the silenced call but rather the message telling me I didn't get a Voice Mail. Should I be worried? Is there anything I can do to protect myself from these types of hacks/spam on an iPhone in Australia?

This is an iPhone 13 with the latest software update. I don't use any hacks or funky software from unknown developers or anything.

So, doing nothing overnight, the phone went from 100% battery to 60% battery. In addition, the Battery app doesn't say which app used any of this energy. This seems like a pretty clear sign that something isn't right, right?

Yeah that sounds really suspicious to me, especially the click sound. Not sure what the right course of action is for you specifically but personally I would get rid of the phone.

Did you buy it from someone or did you get it brand new from an official Apple store/retailer?

I mean, I'm not going to get rid of a phone... like... what?
