My mini, specs in signature, experiences the oddest problems when I plug my band new Canon PowerShot A520 via USB on the back of the machine or keyboard (Mac OS X keyboard) hub. The cursor refuses to move regardless of how madly I move the mouse or press the reset button on both the reciever or actual mouse (Logitech USB Wireless). All other USB devices, including keyboard, iPod, External HD, External DVD burner function perfectly. I am not recieving a USB underpower alert, nor does the problem cease when I unplug the other peripherals.

This only happens the camera is plugged in and turned on. Once I turn the camera off everyone works instantly.

I am yet to try another USB mouse, but I'll get around to it soon enough. I have to say that if I had to switch my shiny new wireless mouse for a wired mouse each time I want to import pictures it could become rather bothersom quite quickly.

I would simply get a USB card reader, or even better a cardreader - powered USB hub combo, and forget plugging in the camrea entirely. I have always found transferring off a camera by USB to be slow, and chews up battery charge on the camera.
Thanks CanadaRAM.

Too bad I have to go out and buy more stuff now.....lol

Ironic (depressing really) part of it that it works great with my windows machines, doh.
