Camera Connection Kit component ........ Unobtainium from Pandora?

went from 3-4 weeks to ship to 4-6 weeks.

Was about to order it today with the iPhone and 3-4 makes my trip but 4-6 is too close.


What's so special about it that it has such a long lead time?

Is it made with that special material called 'shortsightedness'?

I ordered mine in mid May, it just shipped yesterday. I expect in Thursday.

Regarding what's so special about it? I guess it adds some additional functionality to the iPad.

I look forward to using it in the field with my dslr.

Why the long lead time?

I'd say a combination of the added functionality for the iPad, and the reasonably low cost.
