I've been doing a series of demos on my channel that I know many in here will find interesting.

Here is the unboxing and demo.

Interesting that the Flip doesn't work (at least playback wise). I bet if you used a camera that supported Motion JPEG video instead of MP4 that it would work though. At least according to early reports about the iPad from people poking around the SDK.

If someone could test out Motion JPEG that would be awesome.

I could try capturing Motion JPEG from my Nikon D5000 and see if that will playback. I'll work on it tomorrow.

Think it would be possible for macbook air usb ethernet adapter on it? I gotta get my computer teacher to get one and thats one of this big deals.

Okay, I couldn't wait and tested this. Yes, indeed Motion JPEG recorded on my Nikon D5000 does import and playback on the iPad.

Awesome! Definitely gonna buy the kit, even though I mostly work with AVC, I think I will primarily use it to preview test shots and stuff. Thanks!

Can you transfer other files using an SD card?

I sure would love it if Canon would do a camera control app for the iPad like they have for my MBP.

Maby there will be an app for such things as ethernet and file transfer once it is jailbroken to public...

Great job BORG, and thanks for sharing! Have you considered a second career as a surgeon or Apple Demonstrator guy? :)

I'd like to see what the jailbreak community can do with this adaptor. This may turn the iPad from a media consumption device to a useful "computer".

Good point. I did not jailbreak my iPhone 3G until recently. My 1st gen was jailbroken within a few months of purchase but it was buggy and annoying most of the time. Now that I'm back in it with my 3G I can't wait to see what happens with the iPad.

Tomorrow I will be doing a video on connecting iPods (Hint Hint: Only one works)

For those that don't want to watch, it's the 5th generation ipod nano because it has a camera built in.

And my mistake, the iPod Touch will also import photos.

This Video clarifies the issue with importing photos from the iPhone and iPod Touch (essentially only photos generated by the phone or ipod touch can be imported to the iPad).
