Hi all. I need a recommendation for a M1 MacBook Pro compatible camera cover. I got one from a friend and it covers up part of the screen and everything I see online seem to be the same size.

Anyone find one that works well on the new MacBook Pro?

Best to make your own out of a sticky note, Apple published a support article about camera covers no thicker than 0.1mm if you close your laptop with cover on to avoid breaking screen. Also most camera covers also cover other sensors like True Tone and auto brightness in the notch.

Unless your workplace requires the use of a camera cover I wouldn't use one at all. They are ugly and problematic and your computer is not designed for them. When I don't use my MBP the lid is closed and when I do all a hacker could get an image of is my face and shoulders. Maybe they could say a few mean things to me over my speakers, but that would be more entertaining than traumatic for me.

I guess if I was using it in front of some secret jet the USAF was developing I'd be worried though.

Some people just value privacy in the end.
