I've been uploading some pictures to facebook using Camera+ and been noticing they aren't as sharp as the pictures i've downloaded to my computer from the photo roll.

Does anyone know if there is some sort of compression that Camera+ or Facebook use when uploading pictures?

Yes, fb compresses all pics, even when uploaded from PC. Otherwise they'd be too big for the page, ever notice how much less of the screen they take up as opposed to in your photo viewer?

Facebook now supports MUCH higher resolution uploaded photos .... however, since TapTapTap / Lisa Bettany have taken our money and run with the app since they got pulled due to easter egg volume control snafu and remained utterly silent on the matter despite the outcry they won't be updating it...

Best thing to do is save the pic from Cam+ to your photo library and use the FB app to upload instead.
