I'm coming up on the one year anniversary of having an iPhone X. Generally, I like the phone a lot, but I'm noticing a problem with the camera. The pictures it takes seem to be overexposed and look a little washed out. I used to have a 6+ which took very sharp, crisp pictures. But not the X. This seems to happen outdoors, and the indoor pictures look OK. Is anyone else having this kind of problem?

The iPhone X I gave my wife after I upgraded to the Max is still taking awesome photos.

On the X I had for a month and the 8 Plus I still have now, I did notice a tendency toward over exposure and blown out highlights. That's one of the reasons I was eager for one of the new generation of phones. I tried the Max first but had problems with the display and am now on the Xr which suits my eyes better. The cameras are indeed much improved.

Shooting into bright light reduces detail. My wife has the X and it takes amazing images for a phone.
