Hi All,
I am posting this in order for someone to inlight me with their wisedom. I hava a iMac 24":apple:(not aluminium) and I need to record things while is in sleep mode. What happens is that I have the slight Idea that our house keeper is stealing from my room and before I go out there and either buy a nanny cam or fire her sorry a** I will like to get some solid evidence of this if there is someone that can tell me if there is a way to leave the computer in sleep mode, but to keep my camera recording I will appreciat it.:(

Thanks for all your help.

the easiest thing to do is to open imovie click record from isight. then minimize imovie. then take the brightness down to zero. i doubt she is smart enough to tell the difference from sleep mode and a blank screen. generally house keepers aren't very bright. especially if she is dumb enough to steal from the guy that pays her bills

As this is a private space, the OP is well within their rights to record activity. That being said, I believe that just running iMovie for hours will chew up HD space like nothing else. KeyCamX may be the best software solution.

Then again, you could just lock the door and clean your own room...
