Camera kit supports USB audio?

I read that the USB will send audio. I was hoping I could connect the iPad to my Apogee Mini Me (USB) A/D converter to a DAC.

Someone tested on Skype calls and it worked.

I don't think it will work with Apogee One because it requires a driver. The Apogee Mini Me does not.
