I know there's a lot of discussion regarding the iPhone's camera OIS (optical image stabilization) getting damaged from being directly attached to heavy-engine motorcycle handle bars, and this may seem quite stupid but what about if I was using vibrating back and foot massagers at home?

I'm asking this cause I regularly use a back massager
like the following: https://www.amazon.com/HoMedics-Massager-Vibration-Definition-Treatments/dp/B078W4YLX7

along with a foot massage
like so: https://medmassager.com/products/fo...MIrKjc6-uv8wIVygeICR0ZGwzQEAQYECABEgIwTPD_BwE

for treating my back pain and blood circulation.

I am of course am using my iPhone while I'm doing the massages - and it just occurred to me does the vibrations from these massagers on my body do any damage to the iPhone while I'm holding it or placing it on my lap?

I sometimes use my iPhone when I use my massage chair. Never had a problem. Your arm should dissipate most of the vibrations and if it doesn't then just stick it on a table and watch a video or youtube while you're getting sorted. That's what I do anyway.

No, your body is soft, flexible, and supportive enough (either when holding the phone in your hands or on your lap) to totally negate any damaging vibrations from a back or foot massager. The OIS damage reported on motorcycles is due to the phone being rigidly clamped/mounted to inflexible metal parts of a bouncing, vibrating road vehicle and everything that comes with it.

People weren't having OIS issues from having their phone in their pocket while riding!

One thing I just found completely nuts is that Apple just released a commercial of the iPhone 13 with someone strapping the iPhone... to a moped - so I guess that's fine? lol
