I own an M1 iPad Pro. When using it landscape, I find my hand covering the camera for Face ID quite often. It’s annoying but whatever. I was wondering if any of the new M4 iPad Pro owners have the same issue while in portrait mode?

It really depends how you use your iPad. With an M4 iPad Pro, if you hold the iPad in portrait in your right hand, yes the Face ID camera will be obscured, similar to landscape left-handed use with the M1/M2.

From personal experience, I use my iPads exclusively in landscape held in my left hand, so the Face ID camera move was great. Either way, you can probably get used to a different orientation, at least when specifically using Face ID or FaceTime.
