Trying to find some information on the "FaceTime" camera that the new MBA employs comparing to the MBP isight camera. Is it much lower resolution? Will it have much of an effect when doing video gchat or skype video chat?

Any help appreciated.

Also, opted for the 13" 256gb 1.86ghz, 4gb RAM model.

All models will have "Facetime camera" from now on, its just a way to build hype around Facetime.

MacBook Air has always had a crappy camera though, thats the sacrifice of having everything thinner. Just as the iMac camera is better than MacBook(Pro). Of course it will have an effect.

Yes, it has 4.3 times lower resolution at 0.3 versus 1.3 Megapixels. All the new providers offering high resolution video calling, e.g. skype, will therefore not be supported. It's a huge omission in the new MBA in my opinion. I'm pretty sure it will be fixed (i.e. they'll put in a high definition camera) within 6 months.

It will be fixed when Skype develops around Apple.

.3 Megapixels....Do you have a source for that information?
