This is an odd one, and I don't see it covered in here anywhere yet. I recently added some full size photos to my 'camera roll' that were saved from Flickr. I'm guessing they were >1MB in size. When viewed in the 'Photos' section of the phone under 'camera roll', the iPhone has to process the images so they will display properly on the phone's screen (they start blurry and then become clear after processing). Problem is a couple of them seem to crash the app. They remain blurry and do not process correctly. Then when I back out of the app and go back in, the 'camera roll' is no longer there. It's gone! It reappears if I reboot or reset, but still won't process and show the image correctly. I get the same problem over and over. Is anyone aware of size limitations in the photo app or anything that will crash it?

I am experiencing the same exact problem on my 16gb 3Gs. Unfortunately I cannot shed any light on why this happens.

FYI, this just suddenly started to happen to me yesterday. Whenever I tried to share some photos via email, the camera roll would freeze. Quitting the app and reopening Photos and everything was blank. All photos were gone. Even the Camera app wouldn't work anymore. I had to keep resetting the phone.

After reading this I thought of something. I made a panorama with the Pano app and it was a big one. Deleting it, and resetting the phone again and all is well. So Photos must have an issue with an image if it's resolution is too big I presume. What that is I don't know because I have another Panorama in my camera roll created with Pano that didn't use as many frames to make and all is fine.
