So i just enabled iCloud photo library on the computer and it has uploaded everything fine :)

Ive now turned it on for my iPhone, and its uploaded EVERY photo in my camera roll under "All Photos" on my iCloud. I now no longer have Camera Roll on my iPhone(as iCloud replaces it with "All Photos", so i have NO IDEA which photos I have put into an album or not. Its a jumbled mess!!!! My usual process has been, import my camera roll photos into a Album on my mac, and delete them from my camera roll.

Does anyone know how i can filter all the photos under "All Photos" to show only the photos that have not been put into an album ?

All Photos isn't an album or folder, it's just all your photos. You can ignore it.

To make new albums, click the "+" in the top left. Long pressing on it will give you an option to make a new folder.

In the "Photos" view, you have all your photos auto organized by date taken. You can hide any images from this view by selecting them, going to the share sheet, then choosing "Hide". This only hides them from the Photos view, not the Albums view.

Thanks. That makes it clearer. But the issue is, my existing camera roll on my phone is gone now. I had heaps of photos that i wanted to go through and put in albums. I can't do that now as it's now "All Photos" with over 14 thousand photos. I can't tell what's been put in an album already or not :S

Well, it's not like "Camera Roll" is organized either.

If you know the dates, you can look in the Photos view, find that date range, and then add those photos to an album.

Cheers. I agree though it's just the camera roll was really just it's own album up until iCloud photos. That's ok I'll just have to rummage through it all :(

Does anyone know if there's a way in Photos (like there was in iPhoto) to create a smart album showing Photos that have not been imported to an album yet? That's another way I could do it.

I managed to create a smart Album with photos that are NOT in any album. Now out of the 14k photos, its down to 4000 which im happy to go through. Quick one though, I've noticed a LOT of duplicates now in this smart album, whereby the photos already exist in some albums. Is there any way to delete the duplicated ones that are NOT in an album ?
