Camera will not work since updating to iOS5

I have upgraded my iPhone 4 to the new iOS5 and have now noticed that my camera is not working. When activating what should be the camera, the screen is completely black with normal icons at the top and controls at the bottom of the screen. The icons at that top have no function and the controls at the bottom just simply do not work. The screen, which should be my camera view, will swipe to the backwards to the last photo on my phone. So essentially, the camera is acting like it is the last photo on my phone. I have performed a basic restart, a reset and a full restore from from backup. Still the problem has not been corrected. What is up? Anybody got a solution?
