This might not be a big deal to many of you. I purchased this app shortly after the 3.0 update and it would never even open. I just got an update and I finally get to try this out for the first time.

Seems to work very well so far and worth the wait.

I'll give it a try. The first picture is normal setting, the second is at full zoom standing in the same spot. Any blurriness is due to my shaky hands.

the app store on my phone still says the old version, I dont see the new update

I really want to buy this

????????

I've been waiting for this update as well and finally downloaded it...it does indeed work on my 3GS but there seems to be a bug where if you take the picture in landscape mode it shows up sideways in portrait mode in the camera roll...
Hopefully they will work this out...

The icon is hideous. I'll just crop my photos when I get them onto my computer... Or I'll use Photogene or something. this seems entirely pointless.

easier way

if it really does only do software zoom, then an easier way to do it is to just take the picture, and then open it in the pictures app or the camera app, and zoom in where you want it, then hit the home + lock button to snap a screenshot...

Done

I have both

Potogenie is a better use of money imo yes all these zoom apps do is crop the photo. some appear to zoom but since the lens is fixed it can't. IMO spend your money on photogenie other apps but I will say this is better then Izoom which is the number one photo app and has never once been updated.
