Camera's memory card unreadable in El Capitan

When I insert my Canon's memory card into my card reader in El Capitan I get a window that says the inserted disk is unreadable by this computer. I did not have this problem in Yosemite, and I do not have a problem in Windows, 7, 8.1 or Windows 10.

Any idea why I am getting this message all of a sudden? And is there any fix for it?

Yes that is what it was. I'm using my macbook Pro in clamshell mode with an external display, so it's not convenient to reach the card reader so I connected a LaCie card reader. When I removed the card and put it in the built in card reader I can view the pictures.

I guess there are no drivers for the LaCie card reader yet. Thanks!
