Can 2017 iMac (non-retina) drive a 4K external display?

I inherited a 2017 iMac (non-retina) from my late grandfather, and while I await a refresh on the larger MacBook Pros... I wanted to go ahead and buy my future external display (leaning towards Dell u2720q 4K). Assuming the only difference between a 2017 retina vs non-retina is the display (correct?), I would think this should drive a 4K monitor with no issues.

Yep should be able to run two 4K displays
