Hey just curious - I've been eyeing the 21.5" refurb imac for $1099 (3.06ghz, 4gig ram, 256mb ati card). I'm planning on hooking up my 24" monitor to it for dual screens and I'm wondering if it can easily handle what I do, which is mainly photoshop + illustrator and a few other applications open (like iTunes). I don't work with many gigantic files, but commonly they'll be like 500mb or so for print graphics.

I'm assuming that performance-wise, it's exactly the same as the 27" iMac that's got the same specs. In that case is it worth it to just get the 27"? I can sell my 24" monitor for about $250 to make up the difference, but it comes back down to whether or not that iMac can do what I want it to do.

Get the new i3 iMac instead of old C2D iMac, the difference is only 100 bucks. 21.5" or 27" is up to you, whether you want dual monitors or one big monitor
