Can 64-Bit Vista run on an iMac?

I read that it can run on MacBook pro and Mac pro on the "windows on a mac" thread ... however people say that they cant get it to work fully on the iMac causing hassles. Is this true in your experiences?

The imac uses a core 2 duo which is a 64bit CPU. So yes you can run 64bit windows. There is no reason not to go 64bit.

I am running 64 bit Windows 7 on my iMac.
Although the Boot Camp software doesn't support Windows 7 yet, everything else works as it should.
Drivers are all provided in the OS X installation disk. You should give it a try.
If you have any concern in specific, just ask us before you start doing it.

So hang on ... you have windows via VMWare or similar? and not through bootcamp?

You will need to modify the disc image so the installation disc will boot and download the 64-bit Mac Pro drivers if your Leopard disc was printed before the January '08 Mac Pro's were released.
