Looking to move my mother-in-law from an iPad Mini 4 to a larger iPad. The "regular" 9th gen seems to be good enough for her needs. I was wondering if any random detached (not integrated into a case) BT keyboard and BT mouse work with this 9th gen (like I an able to do on my 6th gen iPad Mini). Thanks!

The one thing I like about my Magic Keyboard is that it works well on a lap. This looks like it might not be as stable in that situation. What is your opinion?

You can use it on your lap. The Combo Touch attaches magnetically on the rail and still gets power even if it's at an angle. And of course the case has a kickstand.

See? Despite being at an angle, the keyboard still remains attached and operational, and the kickstand helps keep it stable. It ain't like those cheap iPad keyboard accessories like the ZAGG. The only way the keyboard is gonna come off is if you bend it over 180 degrees, then it will detach from the rail

Oh forgot to mention, the trackpad is fantastic too. Supports multitouch gestures and feels on par with the Magic Keyboard's trackpad. And the Combo Touch has a big thing that the overpriced Magic Keyboard doesn't: A function key row

Ipad 9 is good for 99% of peoples needs. My mom has had hers now for almost 2 years and never a complaint. She uses it as her main computer, been using an iPad as her computer now for several years. Literally got her an iPad 5 as her first ever iPad and she's never touched any computer since lol.

I can't even convince her to get a keyboard or mouse for it, she loves just using the touchscreen lol
