Can a 2017 MacBook battery be installed on a 2015 MacBook?

I have a 2015 12-inch MacBook that needs its battery replaced. I have a 2017 12-inch MacBook whose screen is broken. Can I take the battery in the 2017 model and install it in the 2015 model?
