iOS Can a developer's application be put into international app stores?

The title is pretty self explanatory. I'm in the US and I was just wanting to make sure that an app can be distributed worldwide as long as languages are supported. Thanks!
By default, when you submit an app, it is set to be released in all App Stores across the world. But you can always choose to select specific countries.
