I have a late 2015 27" iMac that won't boot, and just heard back from the apple store with their diagnostic results. The Flash SSD did in fact fail, and they also reported a memory stick failure (has 2 8-GB OWC sticks).

Oddly, when I took it in to the apple store, the display stopped working and we could not even get to seeing the flashing folder with a question mark. When they called me back, they reported that the display decided to work for them, sufficiently to run diagnostics, but then it no ceased working.

Is there any known relationship between a faulty memory stick and a display not working? I will run some tests after I pick it up, but thought some folks here might know.

I replaced the original factory memory, and no change (although a local repair shop had seen memory affect the display before)
