Just bought a Mac Pro. It arrives in a few days as I had it customized.

It comes with a rather lackluster NVIDIA GeForce 7300GT video card.

I just bought a NVIDIA Geforce 7900GT card for my PC.

Can I easily swap the cards? Are they compatible in both machines?

I'm also hoping the video card drivers already installed in the Mac
will work with the card I am swapping out as they are both within the
NVIDIA Geforce series.

The basic answer is no. Do a search: there are quite a few threads on here with people trying this out. It is sometimes possible to flash the EFI/Mac Rom onto the BIOS/PC one but this means that there has to be a Mac version of the card to start with...

It's more than a driver issue, as robbieduncan mentioned, the card also has to have Mac/EFI compatible firmware on it.

The cards will work in Windows, but not in Mac OS X.

Go to strangedogs.com and check and see if the card is compatible for a ROM swap. If so, follow the instructions (WARNING: some cards, even if compatible, require soldering on a new ROM chip, not just swapping the ROM file).
