Can "airplay mirroring" handle a HD resolution's multimedia file?

I was told that iOS5 woud be in support of HD resolution.
So can the feature,airplay mirroring, decode HD resoultion file into Apple TV over wifi?

Real Racing 2 is mirrored in 1080p with up-to 4 players at once in a split-screen view, So I want to say yes the Apple TV can handle HD mirroring just fine.

It's 720p over an apple tv. To get 1080 u need the av hdmi dongle!
