I found a theme I like; Fading Icons.

Unfortunately all of the icons haven't been updated. Is it possible for me to use SSH and make all my icons uniform with that theme, or do you just have to wait for someone to update with more icons?

That's a tough one, you can try to find the person who created the theme and see if they have a template so you can make the icons. Many themes come with a set of images that mask the stock icons to make them look like the theme icons.

Honestly Cydia is not the fastest way to keep a theme up to date, I always keep up on MacThemes and just upload (SSH) the newly created icons to my phone.

You again!

Just kidding :D Thanks for the info. I just really need a course on SSH/Cydia/develping/etc. I love being able to use Cydia but I am the type of person that needs to know how things work. I can't just use it and be content.

Does the package have contact info for the theme creator?

Just look for threads, here and on MT, on SSH with USB and sFTP.

Man, I hate to do this to you again but RTFM.

If you click on "More Information" it shows you comments and the last one is posted by the theme's creator where he tells you how to post icon requests.

depending on where you got your theme from, they usually have a thread starter. If you got it from macthemes, the themer usually also includes photoshop files so that the community can start contributing to the theme by making custom icons for the ton of applications out there. If there is a dire need for a certain icon, you can make a request on the thread, else you can just start making your own by getting hold of the photoshop file

:D

Fair enough. Thanks for your help!

Anyone know a good tutorial for using GIMP instead of Photoshop for creating icons from a psd?
