Can an Apple iPhone 8 charger at all charge a 12.9" iPad Pro 2nd Gen 2017 model totally out of juice after being unused for 1-2 months?

Even if slow charge, just to check iPad is working?

What about via a Mac Book Pro?

iPad was UPS shipped from a cousins place to a friend (who is traveling internationally to ME).
In the last month or so it was unused and probably juiced out.

We just need to test to ensure no IN-TRANSIT damage happened. That's it.

In both cases if you have the compatible cable this should work but will need a lot longer to charge with a low power iPhone charger than a high power usb-c one.

Both will charge the iPad real slow, and if you are using the iPad, it won’t be be charging at all.

Maybe. Doesn't hurt to try. My experience with other devices though (e.g. Moto G) is that it needed a higher kick from a 2A charger after going to a drained state.
