I bought an iPad (3rd. one) Air 2 and am disappointed to be experiencing a strange phenomenon where the middle of the Air 2 has started to curve (or bend). The iPad still works but is bent at the outer edges. I took it to MediaMarkt in Brussels - Belgium and they have informed me that it is irreparable and has been "mishandled". I wrote to them asking them to justify the "reasoning", they have not replied to date. I did get a confirmation from Mediamarkt that they would replace the unit for exactly the same price I paid for it! Great service!!

My question for fellow-users has anyone also experienced this happening to their iPad? I am contemplating sending the iPad to Apple to have a look at it and give me their professional opinion.

Your thoughts folks?

If it is bend in one direction I would expect this to be an external damage. If it expands in both directions it might be a swollen battery or some defect like that. I would always bring my device to Apple for service. I know the German Mediamarkt folks and would not bother there for any service.

Take to the Apple Store in Brussels and ask for their opinion on it. Maybe they will get you a new one or let you get a refurbished one by paying a fee.

Can you post some images?

What's the point of the OP posting any images?
It's not going to help him.
He needs to take it to an Apple store and ask them their opinion as to the cause.

Yes, but a complete waste of time.
It's not as though a pic is going to help him fix it.
It probably has been mishandled and the OP hasn't been aware of doing it.

We are sorry if we are wasting your time. People in these forums like to see things like this.

Pictures can tell a lot!

If you feel this is a waste of time why do you keep replying?
