I just put an order in for an ATV after being on the fence for a while. I was an early adopter of the first one, but found it a little limited with the codecs it supports.
The problem for me is that I have all my media on a windows home server but manage all my music in iTunes. I am starting to tag all my movies and put them into iTunes in anticipation of the ATV, but it looks like if I want to stream my music (with playlists!!) ATV is indeed my only option. Does Boxee allow this?
I think Plex may, but that's still a little ways off with the LG Blu-ray player.
Anyway - hate having to have my mini always on (in addition to WHS) to serve up iTunes but love (need?) to stream my playlists throughout the house.
