Alrite, i had an iphone 3g jailbroken and had it backed up on my itunes. I lost that phone, got a new one and just used my back up. NOWW since I had my cydia and installer in a folder from the categories app. I cannot see them or anything I had in a folder. They are set to hidden and the only way i could take them is out from opening the catalog screen which is hidden and I cannot see. How do I get to the cydia app or bossprefs or anything??

Settings > General > Restrictions > Enable, then Disable.

cant even get to my settings screen, that too was in a folder. looks like im just gna have to reset everything and wiont be able to use my backup.

This is why on the first time you launch Categories there is a warning message that says that this app can be very dangerous and if you don't know what you are doing then don't use it.

Can't you just open the folder that has all the things you need in it? Your question is pretty vague.

lol yuh its kind of confusing. What is basically happening here is since i restored my phone to the backup, it is puting all these apps and even like the settings and misc. phone apps into these categorie folders.

When it is put into a folder, the icon for that app is then HIDDEN and cant see on the home screen. Basically the categorie app is hidden and i cant unhide it.

Look at this thread.
Same issue... with a long and winding way of saving your data and copying it back.

Hope this sorts it out for you.
