Ok say I get a replacement iPhone from Apple, and I had previously synced with iTunes (do I need to do anything other than that to create a backup?)... then I plug my new iPhone into iTunes and hit restore from backup... will the new iPhone then be just like my old one with the same texts, pictures, songs, applications, settings, phone numbers, call records, voicemails etc? Most important would be text messages I think, next would be apps.

Everything will be back onto your phone as before. The only thing that you may need to do is re-organize your folders.
