Sort of an odd request here, but I'm working on a wood-working project and I'm doing some CNC cutting with a Shopbot.

I'm looking for a vector image of the Apple logo that would I could use in a Shopbot file. Does anyone have a way of converting? I've tried one method with AutoCAD, but it didn't work out.

The Shopbot is numerically controlled by Shopbot PartWorks. Shopbot PartWorks can import graphic files in DXF, AI, EPS, and PDF vector formats. It can also import and trace bitmap images in JPG, BMP, TIF, GIF, and PNG. Each of these formats have strong support on the Mac although PDF has the strongest.

I have no idea what you mean by "I've tried on method with AutoCAD, ..." However, the statement strongly suggests that your problem does not lie with file formats. Perhaps, you need to read the PartWorks manual and practice using the software until you develop a degree of proficiency with it.

Will a .dxf file work? I don't know much about the shopbot so I'm not sure if it'll work or not but that was the first thing that came up when I googled illustrator to shopbot. I attatched a .dxf and a .eps... hope they help.

EDIT: Apparently it won't let me attach them and MisterMe beat my response anyway. If you still want the send me a PM and I can email them to you.

Sorry for forgetting to mention this, but the Shopbot accepts .dfx, .eps, and .dwg.

The AutoCAD method I attempted involved using a program to attempt to convert it, then opening it in AutoCAD and saving it as .dwg. Problem was it wouldn't import. I'm just looking for like an outline of the apple logo, sorta like the attached image.
