Can anyone edit google docs yet?

I see some software listed in the apps store but i don't want to be burned again. Basically all i want is:

1)be able to download all my google docs locally
2)edit and create new docs locally (if not connected to wifi) and then sync to google docs when i do have wifi

Possible yet?
