I have a iPhone 6 and it doesn't send to my Macbook through airdrop but can receive..but the twist is my 5s does it consistently with no problem..and when I try to send to my Mac using my 6 it works with my 5s present. Can somebody help me understand whats going on? Thats really weird.

Here's something about Airdrop that I just learned and it seems to solve almost all of my discovery and sending issues.
Kill all of the "backgrounded" apps from the MT switcher on both phones before attempting to send a file. I don't know if it is a RAM thing or what but I can try to send a file from my mac to either my 5s or my 6 and they won't show up but as soon as I go through and kill the backgrounded apps then they will magically appear. Same thing when sending files from one iPhone to another. Give that a shot and let me know if it helped.
