Having given up on getting my USB Sagem modem to work with my Macbook, it looks like I'm going to have to shell out for an ethernet modem/router instead. Can anyone recommend me a decent cheap ethernet modem (for UK broadband use)?

Also, if I get a wired ethernet modem, will it be possible at a later date to give it wireless capabilities? I'm moving to a new shared house in the near future, but I'm not sure whether they will have wireless internet access already, so if I could somehow make a wired ethernet modem later work wirelessly, that would be great!

Thanks!

I'm very pleased with my NetGear DG384... does what it says on the tin. Mac setup was a doddle although it does get a little hot when running.

I can't find that specific model on the Netgear website. Is it like this?: http://www.netgear.com/products/details/DG834N.php

Whoops, typo. 834 v2

Sorry.
