Can anyone tell me if this RAM is compatible?

Sorry, don't know anything about RAM. I have a 15" 2.16 MBP C2D will this RAM work:

I think it is the same RAM I had in my MB. What's with newegg jacking up he price BTW? I'm pretty sure it was $75 or something back in May.

Yes it will work.

RAM prices have gone up over the last 6 months. That is a good price.
