Curious as to how 2560x1440 looks like on a 5K monitor vs 1080p on a 4K monitor when scaling is set to 2X.

What size screen?
Sorry. There is only a 27” 5K monitor, so also a 27” 4K monitor i think would be best.

i dont understand
I want to see what 2X scaling looks like on a 4K and 5K screen. People say 2X scaling isn’t great on a 4K monitorbecause it looks like 1080p, which is way too large. Therefore the equivalent on a 5K monitor looks like 2560 x 1440 which is more reasonable. I’m wondering if anyone has two monitors and can show the size difference.

I'm currently using a 1080p 27" which is what 4K would look like but blocky.

imo UI is fine, i'm actualy afraid what will happen when i receive my 22" UltraFine 4K because i bet it will feel cramped.

Maybe for a day or two:) I have used LG 27UK850 before getting LG Ultrafine 4K. The Ultrafine seemed small just for a first couple of hours.

Out of curiosity, why did you get a 4K Ultrafine after using the 850? I have the 650 and can't imagine a 21.5" 4K monitor.

First of all, I'd say I have a very strange eyes. They need a really high ppi screen. I can easily see a screen ppi difference between, for example, an iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. iPhone XR is absolutely not for me.

Before getting a mac mini 2018 and LG 850, I have used a MacBook pro 13 retina for years as main and only computer and got used to it's great screen. Lg 850 (650 has the same panel, right?) is a great monitor, but I had a really hard time looking at it. Red eyes, headache etc. It has not gone in a couple of months I owned a 850. Probably it's just a mind game, but fonts even in standard 2x scaling where not crisp enough for me. With LG ultrafine my eyes are happy again. And I've got a little more space: standard 2x scaling on LG ultrafine is 2048x1152 pixels:))
