Hello, I just got an iPhone 14 pro max second-hand with Apple Care+ (month to month) and I would like to transfer it in my name from the previous owner. I tried Apple store, they told me to call Apple, we called Apple after swapping us around 4 times, the last representative we spoke to was "I am not too sure if it can work, let the Apple Care+ expire and maybe there will be an option". So can you advise me, please? Thanks.

Apple’s official policy is that monthly AppleCare+ cannot be transferred. I’ve also heard rumors that you can still re-enroll if it’s within 30 days of being cancelled. However, I’m not sure if this is only allowed within 30 days after the regular 2-year AppleCare expires or if it also applies to monthly AppleCare.

The old owner needs to cancel the subscription.
As soon as they do so, while the AppleCare+ is still valid, you need to subscribe again with your own AppleID.
