Not that I’d be “that guy” taking night mode photos with my iPad, but I am curious if the X, Xr, Xs’ and iPPs 2-3 could gain night mode via software? Or is Apple just them giving the feature to the iPhone 11 series to boost sales?
I mostly want the ability to edit photos I take on my 11 Pro... using my iPad Pro. Obviously right now Apple doesn’t allow the same tools with other iDevices.

I guess technically any device with the telephoto lens alongside the wide angle lens should be able to get night mode.

Night mode depends on the wide angle camera to let more light in so it is more than just software. I'm wondering if third party wide angle lens add-ons offer software to accomplish this though. Haven't looked into it.

What happens when you try to edit a picture taken on the 11Pro with it iPP? I do all my image editing on my iPP 11, even the RAWs taken on DLSRs, alot are done completely with the 13.x photo app tools.
