I think the question should be, are apps tied to the device that installed them?

my situation is, someone used my credit card to suscribe to a streaming service, I’m pretty sure who it was, but it would help me a lot to know for sure.

so he is using the ios app to watch movies. so they are signed in to the ios app, using the account that paid for netflix with my credit card.

So the credit card number leads to the netflix account, wich leads to the ios app that is using that account, wich leads to the apple id that downloaded that app, wich leads to the device that has used that apple id.

If I contact apple, can they help. Or am I completly lost here.

If the person isn't a member of your household and this is a case of credit card fraud, then you should be talking with your credit card company first.

i did report this to my credit card company, and they cancel that one and gave me another. but they’re not helping me identify the person, only that it was used for netflix.

I want to find out who’s apple id is using it with the netflix app. I’m pretty sure apps are tied to the apple id that installed it.

Apple doesn't release account details for someone else's Apple ID.

not to a regular person I guess, but is it possible to make that conection? I’m sure they will listen to law enforcement. But it is a long process. I guess I’m trying to find out if its gonna be a waste of time or not.
