I have lots of CDs I years ago ripped MP3s at 128 kbps. I've read an article that shows an easy way to upgrade to 256 kbps (DRM free) using iTunes Match (see here). I was wondering if Apple Music can do the same? From what I understand Apple Music now incorporates the feature of iTunes Match where any songs you have locally are either matched or uploaded. So if that is so it seems to me you could upgrade your library just as suggested in the article by deleting your local copy (128) of a track and then downloading the matched version (256).
Has anyone tried this? Is there any reason not to use the free trial of Apple Music to do this?
